GTSA Residential Broker - Uruguay
I have known Miriam since June 2003. I met her just after she received her Virginia Realtors license. I was impressed with her from the first time I met her. Miriam is direct in her communication with others: customers, clients and other Realtors. Her communicaion skills are excellent. The following are attributes of Miriam that I consider valuable. She has a great sense of humor She is honest and forthright in her communication. She is very intelligent and grasps new ideas and concepts quickly. She is enthusiastic. She loves helping other people, whether it is finding a home, directing them to resources they might need, or recommending a grocery store or church. She is a "people person", and as such serves all persons equally and with enthusiasm and concern. I have been selling real estate for over 25 years and during this time I have come in contact with a lot of people and Realtors. Miriam stands out as a person with integrity, character and I can unequivocally recommend Miriam. She loves real estate and helping people and would be an asset to GTSA.

Gateway to South America - Uruguay Geoffrey McRae GTSA-Negocios -Inmobiliarios It was a pleasure speaking with you both yesterday and as I promised I am sending to you the details of the company that was involved in the successful sale of my large property in Colonia. GTSA originated in New Zealand and they have a number of people employed in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. GTSA also specializes in organizing investement tours for foreigners who regularly visit the South American countries for investment. I found GTSA's working method to be very novel in dealing personally with all the details to promote the properties they have in their portfolio. Undoubtedly they are very experienced and very serious. (name withheld for privacy) Colonia, Uruguay April 2008

GTSA Farm Consultant - Uruguay
I have had farming interests in Uruguay for over seven years now. Rafael Leguisamo GTSA was recommended to me by my lawyer in Uruguay. Rafael was the most helpful qualified farming consultant that I have met in Uruguay, with the added bonus of having a farming background from being a local farmers son. He has a most pleasant manner and is very practical plus his English is excellent which helps to minimize any misunderstandings. Whenever I set him a task he attended to it quickly and finished it to my satisfaction. He is still managing all aspects of an Eucalyptus Grandi forestry plantation for me. He is supervising the thinning & pruning with excellent results.
"If you are in need of a farming consultant he comes highly recommended by me".

GTSA Vacation Rentals - Buenos Aires
Dear Linda,
How can I thank you for all you did for us? I cannot thank you enough for your kindness in giving up so many hours on your Sunday when we arrived was so thoughtful. Andrew and Caroline used the gym, Dave and I went up onto roof once where we saw the pools ( there were 2 or 3 small above ground ones, sun lounges and a fabulous view)..too many other great places to go in wonderful BA.
La Brigada parrilla in San Telmo was great, Cafe Tortoni and Av de Mayo we loved( esp. for all the lively protest marches) and could have spent a couple of hours every day at Recoleta Cemetery. We went there twice and loved walking around the area.
Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires was a great place to stay and all went well with the mates of Andrew who came to stay for NYE. They all got home at 9 am., and slept most of the day!
Please keep in touch, and if you are in Sydney, would love to take you out at least to say thank you. Muchos gracias once again! Un beso,Libby x

GTSA Vacation Rentals - Buenos Aires
Dear Linda, Thanks for all your help in organising temporary accommodation in Buenos Aires over the 2006 Christmas period. We had been looking for over one month and were disappointed with what was on offer. The first apartment GTSA offered was the best we had seen and also in the best location, so we were obviously quick to snap it up.

GTSA - Vacation Travel - Argentina
Hi Geoffrey, Have just read your interesting e-Bulletin after returning yesterday from five weeks in Patagonia. We started at Buenos Aires and went to Iguazu at 33 degrees and then went down Chilean coast to Chaiten and Puyuhaique, then over Andes and onto the Patagonian steppe. We visited Mt Fitzroy, Perito Merano glacier and Torres Del Payne, then to Ushuaia at 2 degrees and snow, and the Beagle Channel with the penguins and sea-lions. Whilst not an investor, I can see the merit of your offerings and will be interested in watching developments as it looks like Argentina is a country with good growth prospects (especially in tourism). Regards and best for festive season:

GTSA Residential Sales- Argentina
"After hearing from GTSA what Buenos Aires and Argentina had to offer in the way of lifestyle and investment opportunities we came over for a look. Two months later we had bought a home and now live here permanently. We love it. Our friends and family come and see us regularly. We feel very grateful to the Argentines for their very genuine welcoming of us given our lack of Spanish language and knowledge of their culture. GTSA were able to assist our investment decisions so we felt we were buying like a local

Specialist Negotiator
So what makes a good negotiator? Geoffrey McRae, of Bayleys, says it's part training and part experience, but trust is the big thing. "The quicker you can build trust between the two parties, the faster you can get there," he saysstyle: He says agents must stand to one side and remove the obstacles rather than be the subject of negotiations. "It's about building empathy with both parties, understanding what they're feeling, not necessarily what they\'re saying, and trying to satisfy that," he says. "The faster you relate to people in the way they like to be related to the better.

Marketing Expertise
Geoffrey McRae was Bayleys Real Estate Salesperson of the year for 2000 and still consistently rates as one of New Zealand's top sales people. He attributes his success to being able to giving vendors carefully planned marketing strategies. "Because I'm a good lateral thinker, I do what others may not have thought of doing. I have a plan for every property and I stick to that plan to achieve a high level of selling. These days, it's an international market, so I have developed a complex and sophisticated data system. I also employ someone to keep it up to speed.
